A Fashionable Cause: The Cardinal Boutique's Black and White Pretty Woman Fragrance Launch!
All the Pretty Women and men packed the big top at The Cardinal Boutique in November to help owner Robin Sengelmann celebrate the launch of Pretty Woman by Barabara Orbison. The Black + White Party paid homage to the late Roy Orbison and raised money for Renal Cancer Research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. As exclusive retailer for the new fragrance, Sengelmann spared no expense in transforming her Tanglewood boutique into a black and white swag lounge including black and white guitars, black sunglasses and zebra print accents at every turn. Guests of the evening were treated to their favorite Orbison tunes as they noshed on delectable morsels from new kids in town, Cuisine Charlemagne. Dr. Eric Jonasch took time out to speak to the crowd about his important research on behalf of M.D. Anderson. Pretty women in the crowd included Nancy Ames, Adele Spalding with her daughter Amy Urquhart, Laura Wheless, Jeannie Frazier, Sarah Jane Canion, Joei Didow, Artist Susan Cooke Pena and Kelly Hunsicker. Handsome fellows included David Brollier, Steve Plumb, James Dillon and Chipper Webster. Sales from bottles of the fragrance through the Holidays will benefit the Renal Cancer Research Department at MD Anderson. Photos by Sarah Austin of Temple Webber Photography
